Thanks FP .. You have summed up this matter better than I did. I liked your term "antique works" . The value of these films is really just an entry by accountants in their books to falsely bolster the Corporations net worth. Lillian Gish once tried to get a film made on life of D W Griffith and failed because as she said the Hollywood people were only interested in inflating their own careers and money.
